Bible Comes Alive with Drama and Humor

April 16, 2015

Hi Cella, my dear friend in Christ,

What a blessing you are to all of us when you present your LAB at our W.D.G. (Women’s Day Group).  I have only heard positive comments from the ladies.  What a very unique way you have in making the bible come to life.  I love the gift of humor that the Lord has given you which makes the whole experience a lot of fun.  I think I have participated in every one we have done.  Keep up with this great gift God has given you to give away 🙂 !

Great Insights

April 16, 2015

Dear Cella,

So many great insights came out of our LAB session on the Road to Emmaus last week! To mention a few:  the state of mind of the disciples in that sad and critical time – shock, bewilderment, sorrow – and how unable they were to work it out themselves; how their eyes were on their situation but suddenly became refocused on God when Jesus broke the bread; the confirmation that they received to see that afresh, and together.

Thank you for your God given ministry which has greatly enriched and inspired us as we became these people in the Bible and play!

With love in Him,

Seeing is Believing

April 16, 2015

Dear Cella,

You were so great to help us visualize the biblical record of disciples who spoke of Jesus Christ after His death. And how wonderful they must have felt when they learned He was risen.  We are blessed sharing your talents and wish you God’s blessing.  Thank you.

Where’s your focus?

April 16, 2015

Dear Cella,

Thank you for bringing scripture alive for us as we immersed ourselves in the Road to Emmaus story.  I was struck by how Jesus is always with us, but often we don’t recognize Him.  It is not until we turn our focus to God that our eyes are opened.  Jesus has been there the whole time!  Thank you for your beautiful ministry!

The Power of Improvisation!

April 16, 2015

Dear Cella-

What a great ministry of using improvisation to bring alive the Word of God.  Cindy and I acted out the Road to Emmaus and it will always stay with me.  The power of those events!

Overcoming Fears

April 16, 2015

Dear Cella,

Just a quick note to say, ‘Thanks!” And God bless you for your drama ministry!  It was so much fun to watch and participate in it!  I think my hesitation to volunteer as an actor was because I was not sure I could remember all the lines.  However, I saw that it didn’t matter!  We all could feel the moment.  We could sense the excitement and the surprise.  God has wonderful plans for us more than we could ever ask or imagine.  (Eph. 3:20)

Love you!

Road to Emmaus Touches Heart

I was very blessed by your visit last week.  The road to Emmaus opened up to me.  The things that were said opened my heart.

Encouragement Comes to Hospitality Ministry!

Parents gain new perspectives on the importance of family meals! They were an encouragement by their involvement!

Parents gain new perspectives on the importance of family meals! They were an encouragement by their involvement!

Bill and Denise beautifully arranged the Parent Room for VBS (Vacation Bible School) and I spoke on the opening night to the parents about the importance of eating at home at the table regularly. Thank you, Bill and Denise, for setting the stage and your encouragement! Here’s what they wrote to me afterwards in a colorful note:
“Bill and I want to thank you for speaking at our VBS Parent Place! The parents were very blessed with all the great info on the Table Principle. We could see how well they responded and the high interest and discussion that followed was amazing! Thank you! Bill and Denise

Lisa Couch’s Testimony

photoCella, a friend and I met weekly over one summer to work on sewing projects and apply principles from a book about personal boundaries.  I agreed. The book was an afterthought; the meat of the meeting would be the sewing!  Each week we would sew and discuss our victories and unsuccessful attempts to apply the personal learning from the book.  What I really began to crave was Cella’s mentorship and straightforward communication.  It can be challenging getting to know someone if you’re worried about offending them, or if they like you or not.  I never had an issue knowing where we stood as Cella is a straightforward, loving communicator.  She also has a remarkable relationship with Christ.  I love hearing Cella’s stories.  She is so in tune with the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  She usually has a new, miraculous story, i.e.helping a salesman at OSH come to Christ in a quick trip she took to the store.  I value the time I am able to talk with Cella and find her to be an incredible and insightful mentor and friend.

Cella’s LAB drama ministry

Cella’s LAB drama ministry provides a dynamic environment for participants to actively engage in bringing biblical and personal stories to life by spontaneously acting them out.  I have seen Cella’s ministry in action multiple times at women’s retreats and a bible study that I lead. The results are compelling.  Hearts are touched and underlying truths revealed in this three-dimensional interactive laboratory setting.   Cella has the creative spark, experience in drama and the heart for ministry to bring this about, and even some who are initially reluctant are inspired to participate.   Her LAB (Living Acting Bible) ministry is an ongoing and valued part of our bible study, and I highly recommend it to any group seeking greater involvement in the Word through creative means.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at to talk further about my experience with this ministry.
